Papatoetoe Intermediate School Bollywood Group competed with 12 other schools on the 16th of October, 2010 at the Dorothy Winstone Theatre at the Auckland Girls Grammar School. We came second, out of 13 schools. We also won the best costume award. We came back with a gorgeous trophy with the ‘1st runner up for Desi Intermediate Competition’ engraved on it.
We added something quite unique and different to the competition during our 7 minutes performance by bringing in the Bollywood journey from traditional to ballroom dancing to old school to new school, incorporated the Multi-cultural theme as well as challenged ourselves with costume changes after every song change.
