General

  1. Our pupils are expected to behave well at all times showing courteous, thoughtful and sensible behaviour. We ask them to speak and act in ways that they would be happy for their parents to observe and be told about.
  2. Behaviour which is normally regarded as offensive or against the laws of New Zealand is unacceptable.
  3. We believe in the ‘Golden Rule’ - to treat others the way we like to be treated.
  4. Our key word for this decade is ‘Respect’ - Respect for other students, respect for adults, respect for property and for our own safety and well-being.

We don’t swear or use obscene language. We walk when inside the school. We do not bring forbidden goods to school.

We do not harm anyone physically. We are quiet and orderly when inside. We do not vandalise anything.

We don’t harm people or get friends to do that for us. We always wear our uniform correctly. We do not tag or graffiti anything.

We don’t threaten people with harm from friends or family. [Older brothers, sisters or cousins]. We keep to the Dress Code. We return library books on time.

We don’t put anyone down. We are fully prepared for classes. We return borrowed items on time.

We don’t steal from people. We are punctual to everything. We look after our environment - not litter.

We don’t bully people. We stay in the bounds. We climb the fitness trail - not the trees.

We don’t stand over people. We do not ride bikes in the grounds. Forbidden items - Examples
